As an educator myself, I witnessed firsthand Ms. Chae's excellence in teaching and modeling technique in a way that matched his needs. We really appreciated her video recordings and emphasis on developing strategies for good practicing.
Behnaz K.2020-06-12Eun Jin is an amazing violin teacher. She started with my daughter when she was on the slightly older side (9) and taught her using the Suzuki method. Our daughter learned quite fast to pick up notes by ear as well as to read music. Eun Jin has a great system of incentives and accountability to keep kids invested and motivated in their own improvement. She is kind but also no nonsense, and has a incredible ear and proficiency with violin herself. If you have a chance to have her teach your child, jump on it!
Ellen C.2019-07-08We've had a wonderful experience with Eun-Jin Chae these past two years. Both of my children started as beginners, and Ms. Chae did a fantastic job of introducing them to Suzuki music. She was extremely patient, had a good sense of humor, and seemed to know how to motivate young kids to practice. She was also very consistent in her teaching and emphasized concepts routinely so that children would learn good habits. As a parent, I particularly enjoyed the group lessons and seeing my kids playing with fellow students. They learned how to constructively critique themselves and each other, as well as lead songs effectively. My kids also enjoyed the camaraderie they had with the other young students and it became something familiar that they looked forward to. We found the studio very organized and we enjoyed the studio recitals immensely. Ms. Chae is a very warm teacher and I would highly recommend her studio to anyone --particularly beginners-- wishing to learn violin.
Allison K.2018-06-09Eun-Jin remains one of my favorite violin teachers to date; I took lessons with her several years ago with the goal of auditioning for a university orchestra -- and we were successful in this. She was always incredibly kind and patient, while also being just firm enough to always incentivize me to practice plenty between lessons. Eun-Jin was especially great at pinpointing my areas for improvement, and teaching me how to practice those points effectively (and practicing smarter, not longer). She also had concrete long-term goals for my playing manifested through reasonable & fun shorter-term pieces and skills to learn. Highly recommend!
